You are cordially invited to join your fellow local government officials for an enjoyable evening of conversation and good food at Councilman Tom Baker’s 5th Annual Summer Town Hall Meeting, co-hosted with Sam DeMarco, Councilman At-Large. This event provides Allegheny County Council District 1 elected officials and community leaders with an opportunity to share information and receive updates on county matters affecting District 1 communities. The Town Hall will be:
Date: Wednesday, August 14, 2019
Time: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location: Stoke’s Grill
4771 McKnight Road #5
Pittsburgh, PA 15237
If you are unable to attend on August 14, I have also scheduled another Town Hall event for Monday, August 19, 2019 at Max & Erma’s located at 130 Andrew Drive in North Fayette Township, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In order to ensure that we have adequate seating and the best possible service, please RSVP by Friday, August 9, to Aaron Pittman, at 412.350.6494, or Ken Varhola, at 412.350.6492.
With the resounding success of our inaugural year of the District 1 Difference Maker awards, we will continue with our new tradition this year by honoring 14 more members of our community as District 1 Difference Makers. If you would like to nominate a volunteer making a positive difference in our communities, please email a description about their positive efforts to Thomas.Baker@alleghenycounty.us by Friday, July 26. In 250 words or less please describe what this District 1 resident does to help others through volunteering, serving on boards, creating initiatives, being an active committee member, etc. The 14 District 1 Difference Makers will determine which Town Hall to attend to receive an award. The awards will be presented by Councilman Baker and Councilman DeMarco.
I look forward to an engaging discussion, and I hope to see you for this informational and educational evening.
Councilman Tom Baker
District 1 Representative
